She crossed the trailing variety Whippersnapper with Faelan’s First Snow. The name “Shimofuri” is a Japanese term meaning “marbled” or “white-veined” (often used to describe premium Wagyu beef), which perfectly describes the stunning foliage of this plant.

🌿 Plant Habit: Micro-dwarf / Trailing (basket type). In the ground, it reaches about 60-80 cm (24-32 inches) in height, but it truly shines when grown in hanging baskets or large containers where its vines can beautifully cascade over the edges.

🍃 Foliage: The plant features breathtaking variegated (green and white mottled) leaves and stems. Unlike many variegated varieties that lose their marbling as they mature or in extreme heat, Shimofuri’s variegation is highly stable and lasts the entire season.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large pink plum/cherry tomatoes with a distinct little point (beak) on the blossom end. Weighing 20-30g (0.7-1 oz), these are quite large for a trailing micro-dwarf.

👅 Flavor: Very sweet, meaty, and juicy.
