Highly prized by our community for its massive size and vibrant color.

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate, mid-season. The plant has medium to sparse foliage. It can be grown both in greenhouses (where it reaches taller heights) and in open ground (where it often stays more compact, around 1m / 3.3 ft).

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Huge, round, and slightly flattened orange beefsteaks. They typically weigh between 200–700g (7–25 oz). The interior is exceptionally meaty (“solid meat”) with very few seeds. It shows good resistance to cracking and has a surprisingly decent shelf life for a yellow/orange variety.

👅 Flavor: When grown in optimal conditions, it is incredibly delicious, sweet, and juicy. However, growers note that this is a heat-loving variety—if grown outdoors in a cold, rainy summer, the flavor can become overwhelmingly sour or bland.

🚿 Care Myth: There is a circulating myth that this variety requires foliage misting/sprinkling. Our experienced forum members debunked this: like all tomatoes, wetting the leaves is generally harmful and invites disease, unless you are growing in extreme dry heat (over 30°C / 86°F with very low humidity) where it helps with pollination.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

O

OlgaZ 🌱 Member (54 posts)

📍 Unknown Location

Tall bush (in the greenhouse), medium foliage.
