It is a highly aggressive grower—described by our community as a “monster” when grown in a greenhouse, where it quickly reaches the ceiling. Outdoors in the open ground, it remains much more manageable and moderately sized.

✂️ Pruning Advice: Because the plant is so powerful and responds excellently to feeding, growers highly recommend pruning it to 3 or 4 stems rather than just 1 or 2. The plant can easily support the extra vines and it will significantly increase your overall yield.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large beefsteaks with a beautiful “rusty” (bronze, copper, or dark bicolored) appearance.

👅 Flavor: Rated an absolute 5+ out of 5! It boasts the tender, very sweet, and soft flesh characteristic of top-tier “rusty/bronze” colored varieties.

⏳ Yield: In a greenhouse, a well-fed multi-stem plant can yield around 2.5–3 kg (5.5–6.6 lbs) of fruit.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

V

Valtwelve (Valeriy) ⭐ Pro Grower (1,846 posts)

📍 Between Samara and Ufa (USDA Zone 4)

In the greenhouse, I grew it on 4 stems. The width of a 1-stem bush outdoors is ~40 cm (16 inches). Outdoors, it behaves like a normal plant. The foliage density of the bush is medium, ~50%.

But in the greenhouse, it is a monster. The foliage density at the bottom is ~80%, and at the top ~25…50% depending on the number of stems. It will quickly hit the ceiling.
