Indeterminate, tall, mid-season ripening. Grew it in a greenhouse; the yield was excellent. Last year I planted his seeds, saved my own from the fruits, and here are the photos from this year. The largest fruit cut open in the photo is 780 grams (1.7 lbs). Delicious! A very meaty variety, and when you cut it, the cross-section looks as if it&#8217;s glistening with oil (very glossy and buttery). There are very few seed cavities. A true tomato classic! I&#8217;ve picked about a dozen 500-800 gram (1.1-1.8 lbs) fruits so far, and another dozen are still hanging. The tomatoes in the photos are slightly overripe; if I had picked them earlier, they wouldn&#8217;t be cracked. I don&#8217;t live right next to the greenhouse, so I don&#8217;t visit it every day.<\/p>\n<p>The seedlings are not fussy, they are thick-stemmed. I kept them a bit too long in their 0.5L (1 pint) starter cups because May was pretty bad\u2014rainy and cool.
