However, many growers report that the genetics are still highly unstable (it frequently segregates, producing green cocktail-sized fruits or green pears instead of the intended large orange beefsteaks).<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udf3f <strong>Plant Habit:<\/strong> Indeterminate, mid-season. The bush is tall, strong, and vigorous. Good yield potential, setting fruit well from bottom to top, even in difficult weather conditions. Pruning to 2 or 3 stems is recommended.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udf45 <strong>Fruit Characteristics:<\/strong> When true to type, fruits are beautiful golden-orange with pink marbling and heavy dark purple\/brown anthocyanin shoulders. Ananyeva. Her description of the variety:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Indeterminate, tall, mid-season. The bush is sturdy and vigorous. The fruits are amazingly beautiful, yellow-orange with pink marbling and dark purple shoulders. The flesh is marmalade-like, sweet, with a bright unforgettable taste! Incredible yield! One of the best varieties of this year.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t have any pink marbling. And the antho was more brown than purple. Otherwise, everything matches. A powerful, sturdy bush, quite productive for this difficult season. I had nothing but problems with tomatoes this year, but this one set fruit without skipping from the bottom to the top, right under the roof. I pruned it to 3 stems, the weight of the tomatoes was from 3.5 to 7 oz (100 to 200 g). I plan to repeat it next year, but in 2 stems. Overall, my impression of this variety is highly positive. I will repeat what I wrote in my garden journal:<\/p>\n<p>This is the most beautiful tomato I have ever grown. Or ever seen, for that matter. It&#8217;s an absolutely incredible, blazing orange color. It looks like a little light bulb is glowing inside the tomato. The antho is not black or purple, but rather brown. Like beautiful brushstrokes of an artist on the shoulders. The tomato is meaty, but juicy. And it&#8217;s not even juice, but rather a gel. Thick, viscous, like honey. And the color is honey-like too. The tomato is incredibly aromatic and tasty. Very rich tomato flavor, but at the same time incredibly sweet! And I repeat, it is insanely beautiful! It has that beauty that only nature can create. It is flawless!<br \/>\nI admit that not everyone will share my enthusiasm. Some prefer raspberry-colored hearts or red globes. Or black icicles. But personally, this tomato just blew me away with its beauty. Taste-wise, there are plenty of tomatoes that can compete with it. But in terms of beauty&#8230; at least for me, it is the most beautiful. I would rank these three varieties in this order:<\/p>\n<p>1st place &#8211; Blue Jolies<br \/>\n2nd place &#8211; Lucid Gem<br \/>\n3rd place &#8211; P20+BK<\/p>\n<p>Blue Jolies is the tastiest, sweetest, and most beautiful of them all. But its yield was lower than the other two varieties (I harvested about 40 fruits from each of those). As always, taste evaluation is subjective. I liked these tomatoes in this order, someone else might rank them differently. Tastes differ, just like growing conditions. Lucid Gem didn&#8217;t impress me at all, neither with taste nor yield. From this series, only Pink Siberian Tiger can keep it company. Well, that&#8217;s just my opinion. Tiger is also very tasty, but it is completely different. Jolies is simply honey-like, even when ripened off the vine indoors, it doesn&#8217;t lose its flavor. And its yield was quite decent for such a terrible season. Well, what can I say&#8230; it&#8217;s not a tomato, it&#8217;s a fruit with a tomato flavor. Extremely sweet, mine had zero tartness. I haven&#8217;t decided yet if I like it or not. I am more of a fan of classic tomato flavor. The anthocyanin aftertaste gets in the way; I can really taste it in this tomato, and I don&#8217;t like it. I don&#8217;t feel this aftertaste in Sgt. Pepper&#8217;s, although that one also has anthocyanin. We&#8217;ll keep tasting. Two bushes are growing; on one they are all about 5 oz (150g), on the other maybe 7-9 oz (200-250g), and that bush is more productive overall. The one in the photo is the second one. When they ripen, I&#8217;ll show them on the scale. On one bush, small green cocktail-type balls grew; I didn&#8217;t even pick them. I tried one, it tasted like a decent sweet tomato, but looked completely unappetizing\u2014went straight to compost. The second bush produced green pears weighing no more than 1.7-2.5 oz (50-70 grams), but they tasted like grass\u2014all went to compost. I&#8217;m out of luck with this variety, won&#8217;t be wasting space on it anymore.
