Very similar to OSU Blue, but the fruits are smaller. Weight is 35-60 g (1.2-2.1 oz). The variety is tall, over 2 m (6.5 ft), disease-resistant. Yield and fruit set are high, fruiting is extended over a long period. It&#8217;s good in every way! Both with its burgundy-purple fruits with strong anthocyanin pigmentation, and its sturdy, disease-free leaves that lasted right until the end of the season. The bushes were grown under a plastic tunnel. As for the taste, for us (having tasted up to 80 varieties), it doesn&#8217;t even make our top 30. Let&#8217;s just call it a basic &#8220;tomato&#8221; flavor; it was like that at the beginning of fruiting and at the end.<\/p>\n<p>The kids tried them but still asked only for the red and yellow ones. Even a mother hen that hatched 10 unplanned chicks in September was let into the garden\u2014they pecked out the red and yellow tomatoes, even the unripe ones. But they didn&#8217;t touch the blue ones at all.<\/p>\n<p>I do want to add that we did find a delicious one among these blue types, absolutely amazing, a solid 5 out of 5. I pruned it to 2 main stems.<\/p>\n<p>But it was completely inedible \ud83e\udd37\u200d\u2640\ufe0f \u2014 maybe the weather was to blame, it was damp and cold. My family refused to eat it.
