The name translates to “Abbot”.

🌿 Plant Habit: Determinate (bush). Compact, usually reaching about 80 cm (31 inches) tall. It is an absolute workhorse that performs exceptionally well outdoors in the open garden, but can also be grown in a greenhouse.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Smooth, bright red, round fruits. They are cocktail-sized, typically weighing 50-70 grams (1.8-2.5 oz), with thin skin and a juicy texture.

👅 Flavor: A classic, mild early-tomato flavor. While it might not blow your mind compared to mid-season heirlooms, it is a very welcome taste early in the year (neither too sour nor completely bland).

🥫 Best Uses: Great for getting the very first fresh tomatoes of the season.
