The name translates to “Amethyst”.

🌿 Plant Habit: Highly debated among growers! The original vendor describes it as indeterminate (tall), but many forum members report it acting more like a semi-determinate or determinate, staying under 3 feet (1m) outdoors, and only reaching 5 feet (1.5m) in a greenhouse. The foliage tends to be on the wispy/spindly side.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Oblate, pinkish-red beefsteaks. While the vendor claims they reach 14-17 oz (400-500g), most growers report average weights closer to 7-12 oz (200-350g).

👅 Flavor: Highly rated. The fruits are wonderfully meaty yet very juicy, with a really pleasant, well-balanced flavor.

⏳ Yield & Maturity: Rated as early to mid-season. Yields vary wildly depending on growing conditions—from just a few fruits per plant in low light or under hoops, to heavy yields (16+ fruits) in better conditions.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

R

Renata ⭐ Pro Grower (2,021 posts)

Got the seeds from Tamara Yashchenko.

Mid-season.
