Developed by the famous Siberian seed company <em>SibSad (Siberian Garden)<\/em>. It is one of the most widely grown and discussed large pink tomatoes in Russia.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udf3f <strong>Plant Habit (The Great Debate):<\/strong> The seed packet lists it as a determinate, but growers universally agree it acts like a sprawling semi-determinate or indeterminate in a greenhouse (reaching up to 2m \/ 6.5 ft). <strong>Important:<\/strong> It has classic &#8220;wispy&#8221; or &#8220;weeping&#8221; foliage (\u0445\u0438\u043b\u044b\u0439 \u043a\u0443\u0441\u0442). The plant often looks fragile or weak, but do not be alarmed\u2014this is perfectly normal for this variety!<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udf45 <strong>Fruit Characteristics:<\/strong> The true strain produces massive pink heart-shaped (oxheart) tomatoes. They regularly weigh 500-800g (1.1 &#8211; 1.7 lbs), with some growers achieving giants up to 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs).<\/li>\n<li>\ud83d\udc45 <strong>Flavor:<\/strong> The name &#8220;Pink Honey&#8221; is no exaggeration. It is intensely sweet, meaty, and has very low acidity. Zulfiya described the taste of the variety accurately. There is only sweetness, a weak acidity rarely appears and only in overripe tomatoes. Unripe ones have no taste at all. We gave it 4.5 points for taste.<\/p>\n<p>We tried the variety for the first year, from SibSad. We planted 2 bushes in one hole, following advice on the forum, and it turned out great. The fruiting is extended, the ripening of fruits on the bush is slow, they are in no hurry. That is, with closed eyes and numbered samples.<\/p>\n<p>All three of them put Pink Honey in first place. Even though I was being tricky and gave it to them to taste under different numbers. They always ask me to bring it to them, they say it&#8217;s tasty and beautiful, like a watermelon. This year it died in its &#8220;infancy&#8221; from seedling flies. I had the SibSad version. If you prune the trusses, it really gets very large. But you have to tie them up \u2014 the stems kink under the weight. And everywhere it is an Indeterminate, tall, in the greenhouse it approaches 2 meters (6.5 ft).<\/p>\n<p>I want to ask a question: then is it NOT Pink Honey? Because on the seed packet they write that it is short-growing (determinate). In the Moscow region, it should grow quite well outdoors too. You don&#8217;t have such extreme day\/night temperature drops.<\/p>\n<p>My largest fruit was 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs) in 2009, when all the other flowers on the truss died from frost, so only one grew on the truss, but it was massive. Above that truss, it was the usual \u2014 fruits around 400g (14 oz). Taste-wise, it is a favorite for everyone in my family except me. Even though I chased after this variety for probably 2 years \u2014 I am giving up on oxheart tomatoes. I don&#8217;t see the point in adapting to them. It was handed to me very small. While I was carrying it home from the forum meetup, I apparently gave it a slight frostbite, and at home, like a fool, I watered it \u2014 thinking I&#8217;d warm it up with warm water. Large (500-800g \/ 1.1 &#8211; 1.7 lbs) meaty pink hearts. Productive. The bush is rather wispy\/flimsy. Indeterminate. Prone to cracking.<\/p>\n<p>Taste: those that ripened on the bush were quite alright; those that were ripened off the vine indoors were nothing, tasted like grass. Growing outdoors without any cover. Now they have been my own saved seeds for a long time. They are of normal, quite large size.
