The name translates literally to “A Bucket from a Bush” or “A Bucket per Bush”, which perfectly describes its massive yield potential.

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall), reaching about 6.5 ft (2 m). Extremely vigorous, with notable resistance to common tomato diseases and adverse weather conditions.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Dark red skin with dense, crimson-red flesh. Shapes can vary on the same plant from round to oblate (flat-round). Very meaty with multiple small seed locules and surprisingly few seeds.

👅 Flavor: Excellent, old-fashioned real tomato flavor. It features a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, usually leaning more toward the sweet side.

⏳ Maturity: Mid-early, though many growers report it behaving like an early-season variety. Excellent shelf life even when picked fully ripe.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

A

ALIANNA (Galina) ⭐ Pro Grower (8,189 posts)

📍 Stavropol Region, Russia (USDA Zone 6)

A family heirloom from Barnaul (originally from a grower named Stas). I got my seeds from Larisa (Larik). It’s an absolutely wonderful variety.

Mid-early season, though for me it leaned more towards early. Indeterminate, the plant height was about 6.5 ft (2 m).

Very productive, it set fruit on almost every truss without dropping blossoms. Resistant to diseases and adverse weather conditions.

The fruits are of different shapes – round and oblate (flat-round). The skin is dark red, and the flesh is a meaty crimson-red. There are lots of seed locules, but they are small, and there aren’t many seeds (which are also quite small).

Excellent real tomato flavor, a great balance of sweetness and acidity, with the sweetness being more dominant.

I liked it a lot. Great as a fresh slicer for salads or for making any kind of tomato sauce/paste. It has a great shelf life, keeping very well even when picked fully ripe.

Edited Mar 15, 2019 by Pomidoroved

O

OlyaSashina (Olga) ⭐ Pro Grower (5,353 posts)

📍 Bor, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russia (USDA Zone 4)

A good, high-yielding variety.
