The first fruits ripened by mid-July. Pruned to 2 stems, each truss had 6-8 fruits. The tomatoes themselves are light yellow, and at full maturity, a pink blush appears on the blossom end. The skin almost looks translucent. They don’t have a long shelf life. The harvest ripened pretty uniformly all at once. Didn’t crack. In all my photos, you are looking at a single plant with multiple side shoots\/leaders.<\/p>\n
The bush grew outdoors in the open ground. In October, we threw a perforated plastic sleeve over it. When we finally pulled the plant, it was completely healthy and green. The trusses are simple, up to 6 fruits, rarely forked trusses up to 13 blossoms. Fruit set is excellent. It handled drought perfectly too. The taste is above average, the tomatoes are firm with no empty locules\/voids inside. This variety is definitely NOT Golden Rain (Zol. Dozhd) or Chukhloma. We haven’t grown Icicle, though. It ripens on the counter perfectly without rotting, but by December the texture turned mealy, so we just threw them in soups.
