The name translates to “Siberian Feast”.

⚠️ Naming Confusion: Do not confuse this variety with “Sibirskie Zastolnye” from the Siberian Garden (SibSad) company, which is a completely different variety that produces round fruits. This one produces plums.

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (vining). Highly versatile—can be grown both in greenhouses and outdoors. The vines are notably flexible, making it easy to bend and train them along the roof of a greenhouse. It can be pruned into multiple stems without losing yield.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Red, slightly elongated plum-shaped tomatoes weighing 50-120 g (1.7-4.2 oz). The flesh is moderately dense—not too hard, not too dry, but very juicy.

👅 Flavor & Usage: While the fresh eating flavor is just a standard, “ordinary” tomato taste, this variety truly shines as a canning tomato. The fruits hold their shape perfectly when pickled/marinated in jars.

🛡️ Performance: Excellent for cold climates and short summers, as it ripens early and quickly gives up its harvest. It is also noted for being one of the last to succumb to Leaf Mold (Cladosporium). Note: Fruits may crack if overwatered and can occasionally drop from the stem when fully ripe.

B

barbariska (Lada) ⭐ Pro Grower (1,913 posts)

📍 Russia

Indeterminate, it grows for me both in the greenhouse and outdoors in the open ground.
