The name translates to “Nature’s Riddle” or “Enigma of Nature”.

🌿 Plant Habit (Beware of Off-types!): The true variety is a massive, extremely vigorous indeterminate plant with a thick main stem. However, SibSad is infamous for packaging unstable lines or mixed seeds, so many growers report getting wimpy, straggly plants or incorrect fruit shapes.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large oblate (flat-round) bicolors with a yellow/orange base and a heavy pink/red cap (marbling). Typically weighs 10.5 – 25 oz (300-700 g).

👅 Flavor: The ultimate “riddle”. Flavor is highly dependent on sunlight, watering, and harvest timing. Grown in full sun with moderate watering, it is incredibly sweet, juicy, and tastes almost like a canned peach. In rainy weather or heavy shade, it can become bland and watery.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

E

Elena_ (Elena) ⭐ Pro Grower (3,838 posts)

📍 Samara Region, Russia (USDA Zone 4)

My bush is indeterminate and very vigorous. I watered maybe 4 times total (I should note my soil is loam transitioning into heavy clay). And the way it fruits is fascinating – it looks like all the other plants have already set fruit, while this one is seemingly still just flowering. A couple of weeks pass – and BAM, it’s covered in massive fruits. The bush is powerful.
