Gusev. The name in his catalog was listed as &#8211; Green Pearl.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to Tatiana&#8217;s TOMATObase:<br \/>\n<strong>Green Pear<\/strong> \u2014 is a green-colored cherry tomato.<br \/>\n<strong>Green Pearl<\/strong> \u2014 is a red-colored cherry tomato.<\/p>\n<p>But according to D. Gusev&#8217;s site, his &#8220;Green Pearl&#8221; is a green cherry, whereas Tatiana&#8217;s database says they should be red.<\/p>\n<p>I actually reached out to him and asked him to clarify what the correct name of this variety is, but I never got a response \ud83e\udd37\u200d\u2640\ufe0f.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m leaning towards the conclusion that the correct original name and translation is definitely &#8211; <strong>Green Pear<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Indeterminate, mid-season cherry variety. The fruits are oval-pear shaped, yellow-green, and kind of shimmer with a thin, almost translucent skin. Very sweet, but they do crack if they get overripe or if you just yank them off the plant by the sepals. You definitely have to snip them off with scissors if you want them to store for a while. I grew it both in the greenhouse and outdoors in the dirt. I actually prefer how it performs outdoors. The bush stays small, I prune it to 3 stems. Sets fruit really well. Pruned to 3 stems. It never gets very tall for me, 3.3 feet (1 m) max. Same story in the greenhouse. My original seeds were from Kulik, but now I just use my own saved seeds.
