It was grown for over 25 years by a forum member named Slava before he finally shared the seeds online and gave it the working name “Kazakhstan Yellow.”

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall). A very resilient and vigorous vine. It performs exceptionally well in both greenhouses (reaching the roof) and outdoors in the dirt (where it typically tops out around 5 feet / 1.5 m).

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large, flattened-round (oblate) yellow beefsteaks. The true hallmark of this variety is a distinct red or pink “starburst” blush in the center of the flesh when fully ripe. Weights usually range from 8 to 17 oz (250-500 g).

👅 Flavor: Classic sweet yellow tomato profile with very low acidity. The flesh is dense, meaty, and very juicy. Highly rated for fresh eating, but be careful not to let them overripen on the vine, or they can become watery.

🍅 Grown this variety? Click here to add your own photos and review below!

T

Tatiyanka1 (Tatiana) ⭐ Pro Grower (3,167 posts)

📍 Unknown Zone

KAZ. The yield across all my tomatoes was pretty average this year, the 3rd and 4th trusses almost entirely aborted (I pruned everything to 1 stem). I couldn’t even wait for the pink blush to appear inside – we ate them up instantly even when they were slightly underripe.
