Beautiful fruit. Pure meat inside. Very few seeds. But!.. We literally couldn’t eat the fruit from the first cluster – tasted just like grass. Then the flavor started improving. Eventually it got really good. Even got slightly sweet and added a bit of aroma.<\/p>\n
Thinking that right when the first cluster was plumping up, we got that monstrous June cold snap that turned into frost for a lot of folks. That probably played a role. Overall, in its traits it’s very similar to Eagle’s Heart. Just a slightly higher yield, though they’re comparable.<\/p>\n
Anyway, I’m keeping it in the rotation. My biggest were 24-28 oz (700-800g), mostly 10-21 oz (300-600g). The plant is dainty, the leaves are thin, it catches late blight among the first. But I’ll still keep planting it because the fruit don’t crack, they are meaty, no white core, and no hard green shoulders near the stem.
