In the summer of 1950, Mountain Grove* (a famous American breeder) gave seeds to Ed Hanson (a novice vegetable grower) who grew this variety in Missouri for many years and made millions selling its fruits. Since then the variety was lost and many American growers searched for it. In 1995, this variety turned up with Carol Norwood (a vegetable grower from Canada), who sent Millionaire seeds to Neil Gillard (an American breeder). He grew the variety and sent us a few seeds; yield per plant is up to 66 lbs (30 kg).

Well, I planted 2 vines, and on both vines I got about 5 of these little ribbed figs!
