The seeds were a gift from a meetup, I’m embarrassed but I don’t remember who gave them to me 😳. Outdoors in the dirt, it didn’t get very tall and wasn’t super prolific, but the very first ripe tomato of the season outdoors came from this vine. In the cucumber greenhouse, it started ripening later 😮 🤷

Did a taste test on July 9th – the tomato is quite firm with a pretty good taste, especially for an early variety. It’s somewhat sweeter than the forum-favorite June tomato (which, if you don’t rush to pick it at the breaker stage and let it ripen fully on the vine, is actually quite good itself). But it falls short of Spring Frosts in terms of yield, fruit size, and flavor. At first, it went perfectly into fresh salads, and later when we had too many salad tomatoes, it went into canning. Although it’s a bit soft for canning. Overall, I’m happy with this little tomato.

Edited January 18, 2017 by LanaD

P

Pirina (Irina) 🍅 New Grower (192 posts)

📍 Volokolamsk Region (USDA Zone 4)

My seeds were originally from Redko.
