Since the seeds from Canada (Tatiana) took foooorever to get to me due to postal errors, they were late for spring sowing. I sowed at the end of June and planted it in a pot in early August without a blossom truss yet. Grew it to a single stem. Topped it at the 4th blooming truss, so by mid-September it was 3.5 ft (105 cm) tall. Fruit shape: a very pronounced heart.

The variety is meant for container growing, but you can grow it in beds too. Compact, sets trusses every 1 leaf, sometimes every 3, but the blossoms are spaced very closely together. Listed as an indeterminate. Fruit weight is 6-16 oz (180-450 g). Tasty, well-balanced flavor. People who already grew it this year say it has a nice sweetness to it. If our Indian summer stretches out, maybe I’ll get to taste it too. Overall, for those who love the Dwarf family, this is an interesting and worthy variety to test out next season.

In the photo below, there are only 3 trusses. This is 45 days after potting up. As of 9/15/2015 it has set 2.5 trusses.

Edited September 20, 2015 by Drosera

T

tomik (Tamara) ⭐ Pro Grower (3,337 posts)

I want to say a couple of kind words about this variety too 🙂 My seeds are also from Tatiana in Canada.
