It produces large, meaty, heart-shaped tomatoes that can reach up to 10.5 oz (300 g). Growers praise it for its vigorous, workhorse-like production in both greenhouses and outdoors. While most reviewers love its sweet, buttery, classic oxheart flavor, some note it can suffer from kinked trusses, green shoulders in the heat, or a mealy texture if overwatered or grown in the wrong conditions. Full summary ↓

Jump to: Maturity & Disease | The “Mealy” Texture Debate | Greenhouse Performance

Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zones 3-6 Experience)

D

Danko (Elena) ⭐ Pro Grower (10,117 posts)

Grandpa’s Cock’s Plume (USA).
