Be aware that it can drop blossoms during prolonged heatwaves, and while it stays smooth in a greenhouse, it is highly prone to radial cracking if grown outdoors.

<!-- 3. It’s yellow with a light pink blush that actually carries through into the flesh. Over the years, breeders completely selected this beautiful mistake out of the commercial lines. Thankfully, it was recovered through the seed bank and this strain matches the original.

Mid-season, the vine grew over 5 feet (1.5 m) tall. It did drop blossoms during a prolonged heatwave. Fruits reach up to 7 oz (200 g), pure yellow with a pink blush that varies in size. The flavor is tender and sweet, with barely any tang.

We grew ours under plastic and they didn’t crack at all. I’ve seen pictures online where every single fruit on the vine had radial cracking around the stem, but I’m guessing those were grown completely outdoors.

Edited September 26, 2015 by Drosera

<!-- 6.
