Handles 2-3 stems cleanly, especially in unheated poly greenhouses. Fruit runs 3.5-14 oz (100-400 g), averaging 9-10.5 oz (250-300 g) as flattened, lightly ribbed slicers with striking dark purple shoulders.

📈 Yield: Dependable, heavy production. Handled late spring frosts and delayed transplant dates in Siberian Zone 3 gardens without dropping subsequent sets.

👅 Taste: Meaty, low-seed flesh with a buttery bite. Early-season tomatoes can taste somewhat mild, but sugar levels concentrate heavily by late summer, resulting in rich honey sweetness and a savory antho tang. One grower isolated an attractive, sweet yellow sport with antho shoulders.

📦 Storage & Transport: Top tier. Holds up exceptionally well post-harvest on the counter and transports without cracking or bruising.

🌎 Who Reviewed It: Six growers across cold-climate USDA Zones 2-4 (Siberia, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, and Tula), Ukraine (Zone 5/6), and Spain’s Canary Islands (Zone 11).

🍅 Grown Mlle Foriers? Drop your USDA zone, plant height, and flavor notes in the comments below!

👨‍🌾 Editor’s Note: Anthocyanin Ripening Dynamics (Why Blues Need Extra Hang Time)
Several growers noted that Mlle Foriers was unremarkable on the first picking, but turned into pure honey by late August. This is textbook for anthocyanin tomatoes. The purple pigment develops from direct sunlight exposure early on, but the internal sugars and complex flavor compounds lag behind, requiring sustained heat units to peak. Harvesting based solely on shoulder color almost always leads to bland, mealy fruit. Always let antho beefsteaks sit on the vine until the bottom pink or red undertones soften slightly to the touch.

🍅 Quick take: Mlle Foriers (Mademoiselle Foriers) is an indeterminate, mid-season anthocyanin slicer bred alongside French grower Bruno Fournier and introduced at the 2017 Brussels Tomatofest.
