The outdoor open-ground vine had to be pulled early once late blight moved in, but surprisingly, the outdoor plant actually pumped out a heavier overall harvest before going down. Maturity ranks right around mid-season.

These cherries are firm and tough: zero splitting from rain, not a single cracked fruit. Never got around to canning any because we scarfed them all down fresh right off the vine.

We didn’t prune a single sucker, and even the lowest side shoots right near the soil line fruited heavily. Seeds were purchased locally over here.

Under the rain shelter:

Outdoors in open ground:

Harvest comparison: Orange Pear, Petit Chocolat, and Yablonelistnyi:

Full Summary: Growth Habit, Splitting Tolerance, Flavor, and Yield

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate cocktail vine with energetic branching.
