Growers recommend pruning and training it to a single stem for best results.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Beautiful, large, bright orange-yellow beefsteaks. They can grow massive, officially rated up to 700g (24.7 oz).

👅 Flavor & Texture: Highly praised for its exceptional taste and texture. It has a tender, juicy, and highly sought-after “buttery” (smooth and melting) flesh with a slight, pleasant touch of acidity. Often recommended for dietary and children’s food.

📈 Yield & Maturity: While officially listed as mid-early, growers note it behaves more like a late-season variety. Yields tend to be below average. It often sets the first few bottom trusses well, but struggles in the heat to set fruit on the upper trusses, dropping blossoms instead.

C

Cherry (Olga) ⭐ Pro Grower (6,822 posts)

📍 Baranovichi, Belarus (USDA Zone 5)

On the Sib. Here is what they write:

A productive mid-early variety for greenhouses. The plant, over 1.5 meters (5 ft) tall, forms up to 5 trusses with large orange-yellow fruits weighing up to 700 grams (24.7 oz). The fruits are meaty, intended for salads, and recommended for children’s and dietary nutrition.

It grew in my greenhouse, the height was about 1.7 m (5.6 ft), the bush is not too vigorous, I trained it to 1 stem.

The tomato turned out almost exactly like on the packet, only not as many of them as I would like, and it was more of a late-season variety for me. But I am satisfied. The tomato is beautiful, large, juicy, sunny-colored, and the taste is tender, with a bit of acidity. Unfortunately, it only set the first 2 trusses well, higher up there were only 1-2 fruits and a scattering of tiny aborted nubs (unfertilized blossoms). I need to try it again. Now I have my whole family horoscope: Libra, Leo, and Taurus; I’ll plant them all next to each other 👍

Edited February 10, 2015 by Drosera

L

Lyubov.
