The name translates to “Kangaroo Heart”, reflecting the shape and massive size of the fruit.

🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall), reaching 1.5 – 1.8 meters (5-6 ft). The bush is strong, healthy, and has moderate foliage.

🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Beautiful, perfectly shaped dark-red (sometimes described as crimson) oxhearts. They are very large, mostly ranging from 300g to 600g (10.5-21 oz). Unlike many delicate pink oxhearts, these dark red hearts have excellent keeping quality.

👅 Flavor: The flesh is tender and dark red. It has a rich, intense, balanced tomato flavor (sweetness perfectly combined with a touch of acidity), which is bolder than typical mild pink oxhearts. Pro Tip: In extreme heatwaves (+40°C / 104°F), the fruits may develop tough white internal fibers, which disappear when temperatures cool down.

📈 Yield: Rated as highly productive with an extended fruiting period, often producing large fruits all the way up the vine without skipping trusses.

A

Angelina ⭐ Pro Grower (11,071 posts)

📍 Russia

A very tasty, productive variety.

A

Alena Andreeva ⭐ Pro Grower (12,011 posts)

📍 Russia

My Kangaroo Heart

T

trofi (Elena) ⭐ Pro Grower (10,715 posts)

📍 South of Moscow Region (USDA Zone 4-5)

The variety is productive, the bush is strong and healthy.
