Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zone 11 Experience)
Green Sky Reacher. Such a gorgeous green-when-ripe from Tom Wagner. A friend gave me the seeds.
It’s an indeterminate mid-season. The vine is a beast, growing over 6 feet (1.9 m) with heavy regular-leaf foliage. I ran it with two leaders. It set every single truss without dropping a single blossom.
The fruits are nice and smooth, very uniform, running about 5.3-8.8 oz (150-250 g). The color is a stunning dark green with darker shoulders. It has thin skin, and when it ripens the bottom takes on just a slight olive blush, but the tomato stays undeniably green overall. Zero cracking, too.
The flesh is a rich deep green—super creamy, tender, sweet, and aromatic. Really pleasant flavor. Just a fantastic, delicious variety!
