📌 Quick Summary (TL;DR): Ivan Ivanych
- 🌍 Origin: A Russian heirloom variety. The name “Ivan Ivanych” is a traditional and respectful Russian first name and patronymic combination.
- 🌿 Plant Habit: A mid-sized plant with potato leaf (PL) foliage. It is a very early season variety known for uniform ripening, meaning the fruits tend to flush and ripen all at once.
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Oblate (flattened round) tomatoes. The skin is incredibly thin and delicate, which makes them highly desirable for fresh eating but prone to sunscald and minor cracking in extreme heat.
- 👅 Flavor: Highly rated. The flesh is sugary, sweet, and very tender. Because the skin is so thin, it practically melts in your mouth without any tough bite.

Very early variety. Mid-sized plant with potato leaf foliage. The fruits all ripen pretty much at the same time. The tomatoes are oblate with excellent flavor and a sugary flesh.
Really good variety, I grew it outdoors in the dirt. We had a super hot summer, and its delicate skin did crack a little bit from the intense baking sun. The flesh is incredibly tender, you don’t even notice the skin, it just melts in your mouth.
