An Italian variety of ribbed tomatoes. A very high-yielding, sturdy, tall bush.
It’s more of a mid-to-late season variety, but once it gets going, it produces an absolute avalanche of fruit. It tolerates the heat of unventilated greenhouses and the chill of Siberian nights perfectly well (from the beginning of June here in Siberia, all the greenhouse doors were kept open). It set fruit on every single truss.
The flesh has a magnificent tomato flavor and aroma, with a tender texture, and the juice doesn’t leak out when sliced. An excellent salad/slicing variety. When it overripens on the vine, it doesn’t rot but rather starts to naturally sun-dry and shrivel.
