Quick Summary of Abrica Zebra
- 🌍 Origin: A striking striped variety originally from the USA, highly rated by our community. It is sometimes spelled as Abrika Zebra.
- 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate, mid-season. It typically reaches 1.5–2 meters (5–6.5 ft) in a greenhouse, though some growers reported more compact growth (around 1.3m / 4.3 ft) when pruned to multiple stems and grown in full sun.
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Oblate (flattened), medium-to-large tomatoes. They feature a beautiful dark purple base with black-red hues and green-purple stripes. Weight varies depending on growing conditions, usually ranging from 150g (5.3 oz) up to 400g (14 oz).
- 👅 Flavor: Exceptionally tasty, sweet, and juicy-meaty, often described as having distinct, complex notes of exotic fruit.
- ⏳ Yield & Ripening: Known for excellent, heavy yields where the plants are completely loaded with fruit. It tends to ripen uniformly and also finishes ripening very well off the vine indoors.

“Abrika Zebra” – seeds from Valdis. His description was:
Mid-season variety. Fruits are black-red with green-purple stripes, average weight 200-400g (7-14 oz). Very tasty with a hint of exotic fruits. Plant height 1.5-1.8m (5-6 ft).
Mine grew on 3 stems. The height was about 1.3 meters (4.3 ft). It was completely loaded with tomatoes. They ripened uniformly (all at once). It grew in full sun. I am satisfied.
I also liked this tomato for both its taste and yield. They are still ripening indoors in a box right now. Mine weren’t very large, up to 150g (5.3 oz).
