I grew this variety this year, seeds were from Igor Pechurin. It turned out to be the absolute earliest of all the plants I put in—a very heavy-yielding determinate bush. The flavor is nice, neither bland nor sour. I grew it outdoors in the open garden. I’ll definitely plant it again for early harvests.
Overall, I really liked the variety.
I’ve been growing this variety for 4 years now. Seeds from SeDeK.
Determinate, one of the earliest, and one of the heaviest yielders. The fruits are very uniform. It’s beautiful, but for me, the taste is a bit on the bland side. However, for the very first tomatoes of the season, it’s good! And later on, when many other tastier varieties start ripening, Abbat is perfect for canning. It’s a great choice if you specifically want an early crop 👍

Thanks for getting back to me, Masha! It sure looks like a heavy yielder. Do you grow any varieties outdoors in the open garden at all?

Natasha, I used to grow all my determinate bushes and some of the indeterminates outdoors. Actually, Abbat only grew in the greenhouse because I had a spare corner left over. But after we put up an additional greenhouse this spring (with the firm agreement that we won’t have outdoor tomato beds anymore), I even have to grow my determinates inside the greenhouse now.
