I just absolutely love giant plum tomatoes, I have a special weakness for them. 😄

Aburida
Bush: 1.8 – 2 m (6-6.5 ft). Fruit – red, plum/barrel-shaped, beautiful, meaty, large, weighing 300 – 500g (10.5-17.5 oz). The giant plum of this variety, against the background of standard ones, looks like “Gulliver in the land of Lilliputians.”
I sowed it on February 20th, it got too leggy, so I had to chop off the top, re-root it, and I kept it in the water for too long 🤦♀️ Well, basically, the agrotechnics went wrong right from the start… 😞 It did set fruit, though not too many, and they didn’t quite reach 500g, mostly around 200-300g max. So overall, I was a bit disappointed at first… It was also quite late to ripen!
BUUUUT! When I finally tasted it!! 😋😋👍👍
You can’t take this away from it: the aroma, the slight acidity, and the sweetness! Everything is perfectly balanced! I’d even give it a 5+ rating for sweetness. A tomato with an exceptionally rare, delicious flavor! I forgave it for all its flaws just for that! I will absolutely grow it again! And I’ll fix my agrotechnics, after all, I’m still learning. 😂
I saw that Lena Danko grew it, and I previously gave some doubtful comments on her photos 😳 I take my words back. I’m curious, Len, what is your opinion on it?

My seeds were also from Syrai (Ukraine). I really wanted to grow this miracle! So: grew outdoors in open ground, sown at the very end of February. The variety is mid-late season. The bush is very beautiful, the trusses set perfectly without skipping any blossoms, I had 4-5 fruits per truss. On the first truss, the tomatoes were a little smaller, but the rest were absolute giants! Loved the taste, a very meaty tomato.

My yield was below average. About 3-4 fruits per truss. Perhaps due to the low number of tomatoes on the bush, they grew into massive, giant plums.
In the cross-section photo, you can see the tomato has minor empty voids, but this did not negatively affect the taste or texture at all. The tomato is very tasty and juicy.
My Aburida didn’t exactly grow as giant plums 😄 I don’t even know what to call this “shape” 😄
It dropped a lot of blossoms in the heat, so only isolated individual fruits grew, which is probably why they turned into such giants.. 😄

I’ve wanted to grow this variety for a long time. I love large plum tomatoes.
My Aburida pleased me with fruits weighing 250-350g (8.8-12.3 oz). It set fruit without skipping any blossoms. The trusses mostly held 4 of these large plums each. There are no empty voids inside the fruits, the taste is very good—both sweetness and tartness are perfectly balanced. Really liked it. Highly recommend.
I planted it two years in a row, yield is good, taste is excellent.
Productive, fruits are large, with good taste.
