📌 Quick Summary (TL;DR): Bolshaya Malina (Big Raspberry)
- 🌍 Origin: Russian heirloom variety. The name translates to “Big Raspberry”. The original seeds in this thread trace back to the well-known Russian tomato collector V. Redko.
- 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall). The height varies significantly depending on growing conditions: about 1.1m (3.5 ft) in open ground, and up to 1.5–1.8m (5–6 ft) in a greenhouse.
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large to very large, weighing from 200–400g (7–14 oz) up to 500g (1.1 lbs). The fruits have a beautiful pinkish-raspberry color. Shapes can vary from large beefsteaks to blunt oxhearts. Very dense and meaty flesh.
- 👅 Flavor: Classic meaty tomato flavor. Depending on soil and weather, growers report it ranging from mild/bland to deliciously sweet and balanced.
- ⏳ Maturity: Mid-season. A reliable yielder that manages to set good trusses even when sown late in the season.

An indeterminate, mid-season slicer variety. The fruits are large and very large, pink-raspberry colored, and meaty, but they turned out a bit bland for my taste. The variety is quite productive; even with a late sowing at the end of March, it managed to set several trusses in open ground. Outdoors, the height of the bush was 1.1 meters (about 3.6 ft). Seeds were from V. Redko.

I will show my Bolshaya Malina too.
Large raspberry-pink hearts (about 500 g / 1.1 lbs), not bland, very tasty. Good yield.
