Ela 06 (Aurija x Megagroniasty) Multiflora Tomato Review

Rate this

Quick Summary of Ela 06

  • 🌍 Origin: A spectacular Polish breeding line. It is a cross between Aurija (a famous elongated paste tomato) and Megagroniasty (a legendary Polish cherry tomato known for its massive multiflora trusses).
  • 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate, extremely vigorous, and disease-resistant. Growers describe it as growing “like a tree” with very thick, sturdy stems. It easily outgrows a 2-meter (6.5 ft) greenhouse.
  • 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Red, elongated plum/paste tomatoes. They are significantly larger than standard Megagroniasty cherries but retain the same mind-blowing truss structure (multiflora).
  • 👅 Flavor & Use: Since it inherits traits from Aurija, the fruits are relatively dense and meaty, making them absolutely perfect for whole-fruit canning in small jars.
  • Yield: Astronomical. The plant produces massive, cascading multiflora trusses. Growers literally describe the entire bush as looking like “one solid continuous truss.” It sets 10 or more of these giant clusters without dropping blossoms.

Ela 06 (Aurija x Megagroniasty)

The bush is like a tree, the stem is thick and sturdy, and it doesn’t get sick. The trusses are like the Kozula 14 Megagron (multiflora type), but the fruits are larger. The yield is massive, every single fruit sets.

I really liked the variety. The bush height is over two meters (6.5 ft). It sets 10 or more trusses without skipping any blossoms right up until the frosts.

A miracle variety. The whole bush is just one solid truss!

The first photo in the pot is not mine, it belongs to the breeder of the variety.

Ela 06. I agree. The whole bush is one continuous truss. I had to wrap the first truss around a pot so it wouldn’t lay on the ground, and the height of my 2-meter (6.5 ft) greenhouse wasn’t tall enough for it. Great for small canning jars.

Could you tell me what this tomato tastes like? I would like to try growing it this year. And do you have seeds for sale?
