Got the seeds from Belgium. It’s a Tom Wagner variety. Super interesting and gorgeous! Indeterminate vine, reaches about 6 ft (1.8 m). Mid-season, heavy yielder. The fruits are tricolor blue-yellow-green pears, shaped like truffles! Weighs 3.5-7 oz (100-200 g). Delicious, sweet with fruity notes, and holds up great in storage.

Toma, I got my Flanders Contrast seeds from you. Huge thanks for those! I’d just clarify one thing, it wasn’t just productive, it was a massive yielder for me. Grew it to three stems in the greenhouse.

What kind of foliage is it supposed to have? I’ve got two plants going, one has regular leaves and the other is potato leaf. 🤷‍♀️

The correct foliage is regular leaf, not potato. 🙂

Absolutely loved it, the sweetest one I grew. Had it outdoors in the dirt, both potato and regular leaf versions… Definitely adding it to my permanent collection, will grow it again.

How do you tell when it’s actually ripe?

Easy! The olive-yellow blossom end (the bottom of the fruit, opposite the stem!) changes color, and the tomato itself feels softer to the touch.

Flanders Contrast is a gorgeous and delicious variety! The jelly-marmalade flesh tastes a bit like kiwi. We absolutely loved it. 🤤

Got the seeds from @Kalugina Olga. Olya, thank you! 🙏

Here’s how my Flanders Contrast turned out in the greenhouse in 2022. Just starting to color up, can’t wait to finally taste it.

Morning Vladimir. What kind of foliage does your Contrast have? The one I’m growing from your seeds has potato leaves.
