Angelina, where did you get your seeds? And what was the average weight of the tomatoes?
The seeds were from Popenko*. Average weight was around 8.8-12.3 oz (250-350 g).

It’s funny how Popenko, who loves using machine translation, messed up the name. In Russian, the English word “Georgia” translates to both the country in the Caucasus and the US State. He managed to pick the wrong one and even misspelled it in Russian!
Speaking of bad translations, it reminds me of a dubbed movie I saw about England. The translator called “Georgian-era chairs” “chairs from the Republic of Georgia”. Like, where would they get Caucasian chairs in old England? Or maybe the Brits considered them trendy antiques?
Popenko actually has a disclaimer on his site. He writes: “We cannot guarantee high-quality translations of variety names, which is why we always include the original name in its native language in parentheses.”
Is that it? Did nobody else grow this one??
*Valery Popenko: Popenko is a highly respected pioneer seed vendor in Russia, credited with introducing hundreds of Western heirloom tomatoes to Russian growers in the late 90s and 2000s. Alexander’s joke in the thread stems from a linguistic quirk: in Russian, the US State of Georgia and the country of Georgia (located in the Caucasus) are spelled differently (Georgia vs Gruziya). Machine translators frequently mix them up, leading to amusing seed catalogs where “Georgia Streak” sounds like a tomato from the Caucasian mountains rather than the American South!
