Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zone 4 Experience)
Indeterminate, tall cherry variety. The vines are wispy, and the seedlings demand a lot of good light. The variety history says it originated as a mutation of the Guernsey Island variety. Tatiana’s database lists the fruits as round and oval; mine were all oval-shaped, firm, bouncy, pretty large for a cherry, excellent quality, stored well, had few seeds, and were very tasty. Weight 1-1.2 oz (30-35 g).
Guernsey Island Pink Blush – a wonderful cocktail variety with VERY tasty, all-purpose fruits. Indet, vigorous productive plant, growing outdoors in front of the gazebo on multiple stems. Today is September 10th and it looks great, still blooming and setting fruit after surviving all the weather disasters.
The fruits are pink, nice and firm, very sweet 😋, perfect for fresh eating and for putting up in jars, even the small ones, average weight 1 oz (30 g).
@Tatunya (Tanya) shared a seedling with me in the spring with the highest recommendations, big thanks to her 🙌, the variety really is excellent 👍
