Quick Summary of Polden F1 (Noon F1)

An excellent indeterminate from Ilyinichna. Not prone to disease (resistant to Leaf Mold / Cladosporium and Fusarium), sturdy bush, trusses with fruits the size of sweet cherries, bright orange color, tasty and beautiful. I plant it every year in the greenhouse, I like it very much.
I also planted Polden this year. It is truly resistant to Leaf Mold (Cladosporium). Tasty, beautiful, but mine did crack unfortunately…
Natalya, how many stems did you train it to? I trained it to two, but I didn’t really like the result. I’m thinking, maybe three is better?

I train everything to two stems, extremely rarely to three, it just gets too crowded/dense.
We grew it in the greenhouse for two years. Seeds from Ilyinichna.
I really liked the structure of the bush—a thick main stem and small, finely divided dark green leaves with a glaucous, blue-gray tint. I trained it to two stems. A completely trouble-free little tomato. Very few suckers, the bush is easily manageable, no hassle with it at all. It never got sick with anything.
It fruited right up until the frosts. There are 11-13 little tomatoes in a truss, about 20 grams (0.7 oz) each. Firm skin, juice inside. Sweet and juicy. The skin is not delicate, so it doesn’t crack in canning/preserves. It can even store for a little while after picking.
