Quick Summary of Auermuom Apgue
- 🌍 Origin: A rare and exotic anthocyanin variety circulating among Russian and Eastern European collectors under this highly unusual name.
- 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall), Regular Leaf (RL). Known for being exceptionally robust and healthy. Notably, it performs wonderfully during the indoor seedling stage—unlike many “blue” varieties, it is highly resistant to edema (oedema) and does not drop its lower leaves under grow lights.
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large, meaty beefsteaks reaching up to 400 g (14 oz). They feature a heavy anthocyanin (dark purple/black) splash on the shoulders. Under intense sunlight, the skin develops a unique matte finish with a gorgeous pearlescent or “frosted” dusting. As it fully ripens, the base color turns a deep, dark cherry-brown.
- 👅 Flavor: The flesh is very dense and meaty with very few seeds. It delivers a rich, complex, and highly satisfying flavor profile typical of the best dark tomatoes.
- ⏳ Yield: Excellent productivity combined with robust plant health.
Auermuom Apgue
Indet, the bush is very strong, with excellent health, regular leaf, and good yield. A very beautiful variety with a strong antho (anthocyanin) expression. If it gets a lot of sun, the fruits look as if they are slightly matte, with a pearlescent dusting. They grow up to 400g (14 oz). When fully ripe, the color is cherry-brown; they are fleshy with very few seeds, and the flavor is rich and very good.
During the seedling stage, it is also extremely robust. Unlike the vast majority of “blue” varieties, it didn’t drop its leaves and didn’t catch edema (oedema).
Tomato Auermuom Apgue.
An amazing, highly productive variety. The fruits are large, rounded, firm, almost black, and meaty; individual fruits weigh up to 400 grams (14 oz). The flesh is cherry-colored, sweet with tart notes. A truly “pedigree” (top-tier) tomato. Perhaps one of the absolute best varieties with anthocyanin.

Awesome tomato…
Delicious antho flavor…
Quite large…
Auermuom Apgue
Height 1.8 m (6 ft). Mid-season. The bush has good foliage coverage. Regular leaf. The fruits are large, oblate (flattened), and completely drenched in anthocyanin. The flesh is dense, meaty, and juicy. The taste is sweet; the antho doesn’t ruin it, but on the contrary, adds a special twist to this tomato. I detected distinct cherry notes in the flavor. It’s an absolute bomb!!! Going straight to my Gold list (permanent grow list)!!!
