Mila. Indeterminate, orange elongated pear-shaped fruits weighing 1.7-5.3 oz (50-150 g). Great taste!
Extremely productive variety 👋, with a really long harvest window. Grew it in the greenhouse, pruned to 3 leaders. You definitely want to stay ahead of BER–saw some dark spots on the blossom ends of a few fruits. 😁
- 🌿 Plant: Indeterminate vine. Thrives in a greenhouse when pruned to multiple leaders (e.g., 3 stems).
- 📈 Yield: Exceptional production with a long, continuous harvest window over the season.
- 👅 Taste: Very flavorful; classic sweet profile expected of orange pear varieties.
- 📦 Storage: Best for fresh eating or canning whole. Susceptible to Blossom End Rot (BER), so calcium management and steady watering are essential.
- 🌎 Who Reviewed It: Grown in Moscow, Russia (USDA Zone 4).
