Yeah… I grew it. It grew exactly as described. The taste is only a 4 out of 5 for me, but it’s beautiful and stores really well. It ended up being a late-season variety for me because the seeds struggled so hard to sprout. Some came up as helmet heads, some with double stems. I documented it all in my grow log.
Full Summary: Plant, Yield, Taste & Storage
- 🌿 Plant & Growth: An indeterminate vine suitable for both open ground and hoop houses. The breeder (Semena Altaya) lists it as mid-season, though slow germination can delay it to a late-season harvest.
- 👅 Taste & Shape: Produces round to slightly flattened bright orange-yellow tomatoes. Sizes range from standard slicers at 6 oz (170 g) up to large 14 oz (400 g) fruits. The flavor is sweet and very highly rated by some, though opinions range from a solid “4 out of 5” to a perfect “5 out of 5.”
- 📦 Storage & Durability: The standout feature of this variety is its shelf life. The fruits are dense, crack-resistant, and can be stored fresh on the counter for up to three weeks without losing quality.
