Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zone 4a Experience)
Indeterminate, mid-season variety. Potato leaf. The seeds took forever to germinate, and then the vine ended up outdoors and got nipped by the cold. Because of that, I really can’t judge the overall yield fairly, but it did keep setting fruit reliably.
Considering how few varieties grown outdoors actually gave me good flavor this summer, this one was a really pleasant surprise. The flavor was consistently great all summer long, nicely sweet; I’d give it a solid 4.75 out of 5. The tomatoes are purple-black, some have faint stripes, medium size up to 5.3 oz (150 g), and nice and meaty.
Gorgeous!
