An excellent early little tomato for open ground. Not tall, the tomatoes are not large, but the bush is literally showered with fruits. I recommend it!!

“Bush up to 40 cm (1.3 ft) high, grown without tying up and without pruning (removing suckers). The fruits are red, oblate, weighing up to 80 g (2.8 oz). The first fruits ripen as early as the beginning of July. The plant gives its harvest early and all at once, from one bush you can get up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of early fruits.”

Determinate, a very compact little bush. The tomatoes turned out sweet, there is enough sun this year. Especially since the variety turned out to be the earliest.

On tiny baby-bushes of 40-50 cm (1.3-1.6 ft) there are soooo many fruits!!!!
But! Let’s go in order.
I didn’t prune the bushes. As a result, little bushes of 8-12 shoots are lying on the ground, completely strewn with tomatoes. All my attempts to tie them up or prop them up proved useless. Fruits from the very bottom to the tops.
From 4 little bushes I harvested 1.5 buckets, mostly at the breaker (blushing) stage, because with this weather, late blight is breathing down my neck, and the first to suffer will be such little heroes lying right on the open ground garden bed.
Next year, it will be sent “to the feet” (planted underneath) of indeterminates in the greenhouse. It’s drier there, there’s straw mulch and high beds.
A beauty. Looks just like a dwarf (gnome). I think direct sowing (without starting seedlings indoors) will be excellent.
And this is how the little bush starts blooming, a miracle from Nadine.
I was looking for seeds in the store today. I counted 52 Sibsad varieties on the display. But no Turbojet.
Of all those sown for an early harvest, it was the very first to bloom. And it sprouted quickly, by the way. Out of the red-fruited ones. Out of the yellow ones, Antoshka is tying for the lead with it.
There are more than 30 tomatoes hanging on mine. I picked the first blushing one on Saturday – 65 grams (2.3 oz).

Girls, in my opinion, Turbojet differs from Iyunskiy (June), for comparison:
For me, Turbojet was taller than Iyunskiy. And the foliage was different, I think.
Although, it’s hard to tell here – the angle is different, and the age – Turbojet was taken on 14.06.2014, Iyunskiy – on 1.06.2016.

Planted Iyunskiy for the first time this year. Currently comparing both of them. Both are in pots.
I see the yield is different! The ripening times and the difference in taste are interesting. Natasha, write about it later in all 3 topics!

But for me it was very tasty, sweet. Only one minus – it’s small, but considering that this is the earliest one for me, and there are countless amounts of these little tomatoes on the bush, I will definitely plant it and plant more of it. It grew in a 3-liter (0.8 gal) pot initially, then was moved permanently to a 7-liter (1.8 gal) pot, and I will definitely try putting it “at the feet” of the indeterminates in the greenhouse.
Turbojet also pleased me last season with a very early harvest. The first fruits ripened at the end of June (I planted the seedlings out in early May). The taste was classic with a pleasant tartness. The bush turned out very compact, up to 40 cm (1.3 ft) high.
I am growing this variety for the first time. It was sown for early harvest. It was one of the first to start blooming and setting fruit (earlier than Iyunskiy 🤫). It ripened at the same time as Iyunskiy (June variety), but on Turbojet there are 6 blushing tomatoes from 2 bushes, and on Iyunskiy there is only one.

Ooooh, that was so long ago, photo from 2018, I don’t even remember when I sowed it)
I planted it for several years in a row, I remember, then I stopped, switched to other varieties with larger fruits)

Natalya, at first I planted determinates for early harvest under spunbond (fleece cover) when I didn’t have a greenhouse. I tried many varieties and settled on Taxi, Abbat, and one without a name, it’s more of a semi-determinate, I took the seeds from a tomato at my neighbor’s. Then I started sowing them for the greenhouse too. This year I’m planning to reduce the number of determinates in the greenhouse.

For several years I’ve been planting Iyunskiy (June) and Turboreaktivnyi (Turbojet) for early harvest. Iyunskiy is a tree-type (shtamb), Turbo is determinate. They ripen almost simultaneously, usually Iyunskiy is a few days earlier, Turbo is tastier. These are probably the earliest tomatoes (I haven’t grown Abbat and Taxi). This year I have already planted the same set.
