I bought expired seeds on sale from the “Vassma” seed company. It’s a very tasty pink tomato with a little beak. High yielding and resistant to late blight (phytophthora). The plant characteristics are just like the classic De Barao or Tarasenko types: very tall (taller than me, and I’m 1.6m / 5’3″), and it sets fruit without skipping a single truss.
The tomato is extremely delicious, in my opinion. The drawbacks: it is not an early variety, it tends to crack during large temperature swings, and it gets quite soft when fully ripe. I’m looking at my photos right now and scolding myself—I really should have planted it again this year.
It looks very similar to my Canning Budenovka (perfect for jars), which people here on the forum have identified as De Barao Tsarskiy (Royal De Barao) 😅
Most likely, that’s exactly what it is. There is no official registered variety called “Tarasenko Pink”.

I haven’t grown Budenovka. But the De Barao Tsarskiy I grew was rounder, smaller in size, and not nearly as tasty as this one.
