Natalya Borisovna indicated that this variety is mid-late…

The first year it was mid-late for me, the second year it was mid-season, but for the last 2 years, it has been one of the very first to ripen. It has adapted, it seems.

For me, it has been one of the earliest right from the start, right after Kazakhstan Yellow.

I grew this variety last year. The seeds were from Yulichka @Tiffany. Yulia strongly recommended planting this variety. I will say one thing: this variety justified all hopes. Prolific, unpretentious, with a good balanced taste. It perfectly survived the cold May, and subsequently the heat.

Many thanks to Yulichka for the seeds, and to Natalya Borisovna for distributing this variety.

Natalya Borisovna, this is simply a miracle variety!!!! Huge thanks!!! I already have a “spout” forming!

It wins your heart right from the seedling stage. Thanks to the girls from the forum for the seeds, and to Natalya Borisovna for distributing this variety!

I join the girls in thanking Natalya Borisovna. I planted 1-2 plants of all other varieties this year, but I planted a whopping 10 bushes of Borisovna’s Black Heart! 5 bushes each in different greenhouses and in different spots. I’ll see where they like it better. I can already see they behave differently, each bush has its own character. Seeds are from the girls on the forum. Huge thanks to everyone.

First truss… Yesterday we picked the first little heart, didn’t find any seeds in it… Absolutely delicious!

I had an off-type (crossed seeds). They turned out to be regular pink hearts, and the plant was a determinate type. It’s a real shame I didn’t get to try the real one 😞. There were a lot of flowers, but the tomato is definitely a different variety.

I haven’t seen this variety in real life before, but it seems something wrong grew on one of my bushes too, the one that gave these first ripe tomatoes…

The color doesn’t seem right, there’s no slight striping, no dark shoulders, and no spouts present.

The taste is quite good, especially for early fruits, balanced with sweetness, slightly sweeter than the Yaponka (Japanese Girl) variety I picked today.

We’ll see what grows on the other bushes (good thing I got seeds from different sources)…

Here are some more “Black Hearts from Borisovna” I got… Which one of them is correct? Or are both wrong?

The difference is not so noticeable in the photo, one is closer to pink with dark shoulders, the other is red with an orange tint and also has shoulders.

The one with the blue (anthocyanin) looks like Sgt. Pepper’s or KAS-21, and the one on the left looks like Black with a Spout.

Growing it for the first year, it’s really early, the first one ripened in mid-July, and it’s prolific! It’s going on my permanent grow list!

Neither is correct 😆 Black with a Spout has very characteristic stripes.

The tomatoes aren’t perfect this year, they’re all battered by hurricanes, but the taste and yield are, as always, beyond praise.

Natalya Borisovna, does this one look like it? Most of my bushes have tomatoes like this.
