An interesting variety for growing outdoors in open ground. The bush isn’t tall, only about 20–24 inches (50-60 cm). It’s highly productive, has very interesting exterior coloring, and a beautiful fleshy center. The flavor is very good.
Just how early is it? And does it need suckering/pruning?
The bush isn’t tall at all, so I don’t think it requires any suckering/pruning when grown outdoors in open ground. I only pinched out the lowest ones that were sitting too close to the dirt, but otherwise, the bush is very compact.
It was one of the very first to start ripening, so it is definitely an early-season variety (or very close to it).
