Quick Summary of Heart of America (Serdtse Ameriki)
- 🌍 Origin & Name: Circulated among Russian private seed collectors under the translated name “Serdtse Ameriki” (Heart of America).
- 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall), but growers note it has a very manageable height. In a greenhouse, it grows taller than a person but doesn’t aggressively hit the roof, usually stopping around 1.7 – 1.8 meters (5.5 – 6 ft).
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Classic red/pink oxheart tomatoes. They are very dense and meaty.
- 👅 Flavor & Performance: A mid-season variety with decent, reliable yields. While the flavor is described as an ordinary, hearty tomato taste rather than a complex sweet profile, its dense, meaty texture makes it excellent for slicing and processing.

Mine actually did turn out in the shape of a heart.
Elena, the name itself implies that it should be a heart 😉. So that means yours turned out exactly the way it is supposed to be.
