🍅 Quick take: Minusinskie Rozovye (Minusinsk Pink) is a highly productive, indeterminate Siberian heirloom from the famous Minusinsk region. It yields heavy clusters of sweet, sugary pink hearts weighing 7-17.6 oz (200-500 g). Interestingly, the fruits often shift shapes on the same vine, throwing large flat hearts on the bottom and elongated pepper shapes up top. Full summary ↓
Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zones 3-6 Experience)
Grew Minusinskie dlinnye rozovye (Minusinsk Long Pinks) from our Svetla this year. Really loved the strain. Indeterminate, doesn’t throw out too many suckers. Loaded with fruit, produces in clusters. Fruits are pepper-shaped and large flat hearts (“blobs” as Sveta calls them) on the very same truss. Reliable. Very, very tasty! Excellent across the board. A favorite! My photos don’t really do it justice since we pick the ripe ones regularly.

Full Summary: Plant, Yield, Taste, and Phenotypes
- 🌿 Plant: A strong indeterminate vine that generally hits 5.6-6.2 ft (1.7-1.9 m) tall in a greenhouse. Unlike many heart varieties, the vines are sturdy (“not wimpy”) and well-behaved, not throwing out an excessive amount of suckers.
- 📈 Yield: Excellent. It is a cluster-type producer that routinely loads up with fruit.
- 👅 Taste: Universally praised as extremely sweet. The flesh is sugary and meaty, with very few seeds inside.
- 🧬 Fruit Shape: This heirloom displays variable fruit shapes on the same plant. The bottom trusses tend to produce heavy, flat, wide hearts (“blob hearts”), while the upper trusses produce elongated, pepper-shaped pink hearts.
- 🌎 Who Reviewed It: Grown and reviewed by growers in the temperate and short-season climates of Kemerovo and Pyatigorsk (USDA Zones 3-6).
