ADVANTAGES OF THE AMURSKIY SHTAMB TOMATO:

  • Low-maintenance growing, cold tolerance, and resistance to adverse weather conditions.
  • Resistant to Verticillium wilt.
  • Requires no pruning/suckering.

The large-fruited tomato “Amurskiy Shtamb” truly produces very large fruits, despite the short height of the bushes:

  • Height – no more than 50 cm (20 inches);
  • Fruit geometry – round, vertically flattened (oblate);
  • Tomato color – red;
  • Fruits – juicy, meaty;
  • Ripening time – average 90 days;
  • Planting density – 6 bushes per 1 sq.m. (~1 plant per 1.5 sq ft);
  • Location – both outdoor open beds and under plastic tunnels;
  • Yield – 5-10 kg/sq.m. (1-2 lbs/sq ft);
  • Average fruit weight – 120-180 g / 4-6.5 oz (sometimes up to 200 g / 7 oz);
  • Regions – any (in terms of cold tolerance it is only slightly behind ‘Antoshka’, but it actually surpasses it in terms of low maintenance in other conditions).

The tomato Amurskiy Shtamb is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation for cultivation in open ground and under film shelters in private household plots.
