Quick Summary of Aussie Pink
- 🌍 Origin: A beautiful pink heirloom variety, highly regarded for its classic beefsteak qualities.
- 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall). In cooler short-season climates, it performs best when grown in a greenhouse.
- 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: Large, glossy, pink beefsteaks. The fruits are slightly oblate (flattened) with mild ribbing at the shoulders. They are very meaty and contain very few seeds.
- 👅 Flavor: Exceptional, well-balanced traditional tomato flavor that leans noticeably toward the sweet side. An outstanding slicer variety.
- ⏳ Maturity & Yield: Mid-season. Yields are above average. Many growers save seeds from this variety to “acclimatize” it, improving its productivity in their specific microclimate over time.

A mid-season, indeterminate slicer variety. It grew in my greenhouse. The fruits are glossy, slightly flattened, slightly ribbed pink beefsteaks, with a wonderful balanced taste where sweetness predominates. It made it into my top ten tastiest new varieties of 2016.
The fruits are large, meaty, and have few seeds. The yield is above average, but I would like it to be higher))) Therefore, I will definitely be “taming” (acclimatizing) this variety.
