It’s true, it isn’t the sweetest tomato out there, but the flavor is still very pleasant. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5.
Back in 2011, one bush of this variety gave me 4 kg (8.8 lbs) of tomatoes, with the largest one weighing 300g (10.5 oz). In the photos, it is shown alongside Big Zebra and Feyerverk (Firework) varieties.
It looks incredibly similar to the Pork Chop tomato. 😞
Got my first fruit of the year from Zebra. Weighed 320g (11.3 oz). Slightly on the acidic/tangy side, making it absolutely excellent for fresh salads. The bush itself isn’t incredibly vigorous or massive. The fruit set and developed quickly, without stalling or taking breaks.
My Big Yellow Zebra actually turned out to be very sweet, beautiful, and quite productive. It was one of the very earliest varieties to ripen for me during a very difficult, cold summer season 👍. It’s the only yellow one in the photo.
Planted it in 2017. It’s an early variety, highly productive, and I really enjoyed the flavor.
